After following tutorials + youtube, Topas 5 still not connecting with JEdit

I used TOPAS with JEdit a lot at my last university and it worked great! I am now at a new institution and I am trying to set up TOPAS working with JEdit here. We have access to TOPAS 5 through Bruker. I have been following all the set up guides and youtube videos and I am close, but not quite there. I've set up JEdit so that all the correct menus and formatting options are present, the only function that seems missing is that I can't "send" my input files to TOPAS or open TOPAS using the TA with arrow button / TA button. My apologies if this is a repeat post, but any advice would be much appreciated.

To run Bruker topas, you need to click the red gemstone-looking button.

There's one other issue. This will only work with later versions of Bruker TOPAS. I don't remember exactly the version, certainly 6 onwards, but it may go back to mid version 4's. The difference is whether TOPAS monitors changes in a file called "launch_file.txt" that jEdit writes to the TOPAS directory.
If it doesn't work for you, then you can still use jEdit by selecting the INP file in TOPAS with Launch/Set INP file. jEdit will then still update with changes in the refinement and you can use the "save/->TA" button as normal.

I just looked back through the forum. It's worked with Bruker TOPAS since at least 2013.

My colleague was able to try this for me and says:
The directory command that rowlesmr asked to do does indeed return the correct directory.
The red gem-stone button does indeed launch Topas5 but it does not send the inp file that's opened in jEdit, and once Topas is open, pressing any of the other macro buttons doesn't send the inp file over.
It looks to me like the "TASaveSet" and "TARun" buttons are what are not working.
They map to:
C:\Users\ComputerName\AppData\Roaming\jEdit\macros\TArun.bsh
C:\Users\ComputerName\AppData\Roaming\jEdit\macros\TASaveSet.bsh
So it seems like they should be working but pressing them doesn't do anything.

All that the red gem-stone button does is open topas.

The TA button with an arrow is the one that (TAsaveset.bsh macro) is the one that does the sending.

Can you check that you have a file "launch_file.txt" in your topas directory. Rename it to something else, and then press the TAarrow button to run the TAsaveset.bsh macro. The file should reappear and should contain the full path of the file which was active when you pressed the button.

Can you also check that you are in launch mode in Topas. You need to make sure the rocket ship button is active.

Oh dear - I'm embarrassed to admit that it was the rocket ship button that was not active... it is working now, thank you so much for your help!

No worries. That is the main hiccup moving from Topas Academic to Bruker.
