TC batch processing not working

Hello everyone,

I am a completely new user of TOPAS (I am running a v4.2). I have to process a lot of synchrotrone data, therefore I am interested in batch processing option using TC.
I have a script (.inp file) to perform Rietveld refinment and am able to run it inside the GUI interface without a problem. But when I run the script in tc using a command (I am already located in the TOPAS folder)

'tc C:\Users.....\inpitfile'
I do not get any .out or .txt file back, not even an error message. Have you ever encoutered such a problem?

Some early versions of topas could be slightly tempremental dependign where files were sitting (e.g. spaces in paths, having to run tc.exe from the topas directory, perhaps whether data is local or remote).
I would suggest:

go to the topas directory and just type "./tc.exe". If the licence is set up properly you should see a message telling you to name an input file.
try initially with you INP file and data in the topas directory just to see if that works.
then see whether you can get things working with files in different directories.

Thank you for your respons.

After running tc.exe in the main directory I get a messege prompring me to define an input file, therefore I assume the licence is set up properly.
Additionally the tc.log file is updated after I run tc with an input file but it is empty.
I tried the step 2 you have suggested, but no change, no .txt or .out file is created.

I have also attached the begining of the .inp file, is there maybe an error in my initial set-up?

It’s not possible to tell if that’s a valid INP file. Try running one of the test or tutorial INP files. If that works the problem is in your INP file.
