jedit example files

Hi,
I have installed TOPAS and jEdit as per the information pages and YouTube videos. All seems fine but when I try to double click on one of the example .inp files in Xinsert, instead of seeing the coloured text I just see a single black line of text. I also notice that above where the file name should be it says 'untitled'.

Do you have "execute scripts" ticked in the bottom left of the xinsert pane?
