Greetings everyone,
I am having a phase transformation over many diffraction patterns. Therefore, I am considering 2 phases during the refinement, phase A and B. At the very beginning, Phase B is very low, mostly 100% A, but because I am refining the two phases, the do_error is very large, like between 90 to 500. As soon as the phase transformation begins, the amount of B increases, and the error drop to values around 0.5.
When I look to the error of all the parameters, usually the errors of phase A are quite low, while all quantification of phase B have a high error associated, but because the weight percent error is the same for both phases, I get a high error which I believe is not realistic.
I do not understand why I am getting such high errors when the diffraction is basically one single phase, could it be that the large error before the phase transformation is mainly associated with the low B phase fraction? If so, does anyone has a suggestion on what I could do to reduce the error of the refinement?
OBS: I wanted to past a few screenshots of the diffractograms and refinement, but I don't know how to do it in this new forum.
Best regards,
Antonio
