No ranges to fit to---TOPAS 6

Hi everyone,

I have used TOPAS-academic 4 previously and now I'm trying to get the commercial version of TOPAS 6 set up on my new computer. JEdit appears to work properly (all the macros are present etc), but when I press "run" in TOPAS after having sent my input file across, I get "no ranges to fit to" as an error. Yet this very input file works fine on my other computer, with TOPAS-academic 4. I tried changing file extension of the data file (from .dat to .xy and then to .xye), but did not solve the problem.

I don't know if there's some difference in the commercial version or version 6 that I'm not aware of, or if the installation has gone wrong somewhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you pressed the little "rocket" icon to say you're in launch mode? It might not be the default with the commercial v6. Once you set it once it should be remembered.
