Phase analysis

Hi,

I am doing a Pawley fitting of Mg and Mg17Al12 phases to find the phase fraction.
Surprisingly, the weight fraction from MVW, I am getting is the reveresed result. To elaborate, Mg is a major phase and Mg17Al12 is minor. I am getting the fraction in the opposite way.

What could have gone wrong? please suggest.

You can't use the Pawley method for quant analysis (unless you're doing something more sophisticated like a ponnks method), you need to use Rietveld.

I started using Rietveld. Phase fraction does make sense now.
