WPPM modeling, plate shaped domains

Dear all,

I have started to work on a new project which would require to asses the domain size distribution of plate shaped particles (thickness<< perpendicular directions). I have used Topas WPPM macro (WPPM_Sphere_LogNormal) to asses the size distribution of spherical partices before but I could not find an equivalent macro for particles of different shapes.

Have you ever encounter such a problem before, what would be your suggestions?

No idea. First point of call would be to look through the work of Paulo Scardi and Matteo Leoni. Probably also Dominique Ectors.

To my knowledge there are models for spheres, cubes and ocathedron present for wppm in Topas.
Cylinders were present in PM2K, so it might be translateable for Topas as well (you might have to dig in the publications of Paulo Scardi and Matteo Leoni to figure out the relevant formulas).

Meanwhile you can alternatively choose to use the double-voigt based approach. AnisoCS
