Welcome
Welcome to the topas wiki!
This site has been set up for the community to share ideas and tips for Topas and powder diffraction analysis more broadly.
Read access is open to everybody, but you need to set up an account to contribute. **We've had to disable old accounts and turn off the auto-registration to prevent hacking. Information on how to register is on the how to contribute page**.
Writing wiki pages is easy and there's a quick guide at how to contribute (registered users only). Please do contribute!
In different areas of the wiki (see the links on the left you can):
* Browse through a list of topics contributed by people
* Browse macros contributed by people
* See online versions of the manual
* Find data files associated with John, Robert and Andreas' Rietveld textbook
* Find various information repositories contributed by the community
* Find links to other Topas-related resources
A few of the wiki pages are read-only, but please contribute to the others. As with any wiki, the information is only as reliable as the community who maintain it, so please do correct any errors you find.
The site was updated following a shift to php 8 in January 2024, so please let John know if you find any problems.
To reference the topas wiki origins or jedit you might like to use "Evans, J. S. O. Advanced input files and parametric quantitative analysis using Topas. //Materials Science Forum 651//, **1** (2010)" or one of the other articles in the special issue of materials forum which documents the Trento meeting where the wiki was first suggested. There's description of the topas symbolic language etc in: Coelho, A. A., Evans, J. S. O., Evans, I. R., Kern, A. & Parsons, S. The TOPAS symbolic computation system. //Powder Diffraction// **26**, S22-S25, doi:10.1154/1.3661087 (2011).
